God’s Child novelization

In terms of anime, Chirico Cuvie’s story concluded with the last episode of Phantom Arc, released in 2010. In broader terms, it was the beginning of a new story in which he agreed to become the guardian of a child born under the same mysterious circumstances as he. Eventually, thanks to pressure from multiple directions, series creator Ryosuke Takahashi decided to tell that story.

God’s Child was published as a serialized novel on two different websites, 54 biweekly chapters that ran from September 2020 to December 2022. Each chapter included a single illustration by Moriyasu Taniguchi, who served as the animation director for the second half of the Votoms TV series.

Since the project was published for free online, it’s also free to read right here. Watch it grow month by month as new chapters are translated.
