First look at a 1/2 scale Scopedog costume

What’s the deal with that costume? These two pages gave us another look at it. Both are from Fang of the Sun Dougram Mechanical Art Collection, published by Kodansha in August 1983. The purpose of the suit is not explained, but it may have simply been a hobby for Mecha Designer Kunio Okawara, who built it out of urethane. It wasn’t uncommon for “stunt suits” like this to appear at public events or specialty stores.
