Annoyed by all the amateurs running around, Quint insists he will go out alone, but from the look on the faces of Brody and Hooper, he knows they’ll insist on going along despite any argument.
Brody says he hates the sea and Quint asks why he came.
“Because I’m a human being before I’m a police officer. I can’t just abandon a man-eating shark.”
Quint: “That sort of logic…this murder machine doesn’t do that.”
