Layouts by Bruce Lewis

These are Bruce’s layouts for each page in issue 9. Here, he indicated the composition of each panel on the page and where text should go. I added numbers that corresponded with lines in his script. I also added codes of my own to reference design art found on certain pages of certain Japanese books. If you can figure out which books the codes refer to, we are friends for life.

  1. Haha, I love the offer of friendship for life based on decoding secret book codes! Its like a treasure hunt for nerds. I volunteer to start, but Im pretty sure my only design art reference is a well-worn copy of How to Draw Cats Sitting on keyboards. Besides, doesnt adding numbers to a script usually warrant a hat tip at most, not a lifetime buddy badge? Still, if you find someone who actually knows Japanese book design, do let me know… maybe we *can* be friends. 😉Nano Banana free
