Quent manga, version 1.0

Whereas the Sunsa arc was shortest, Quent was the longest with 124 pages spread over four issues of Comic BomBom. It started 3 weeks before the arc began on TV and finished just one week before the series ended. Kodansha’s paperback editions of the Kummen and Sunsa arcs were both published during the Quent run.

Elsewhere in Comic BomBom, Dunbine wrapped up in the February issue to be replaced by L-Gaim in the next.

Paperback editions

Since Minoru Nonaka’s Quent adaptation was longer and more complete than all the others, it required only another 63 pages of revised and expanded content to fill out the paperback, which was published on March 17 1984, just TWO DAYS after it wrapped up in Comic BomBom. One can only imagine how exhausted Nonaka must have been after pulling that off.

Sunrise Super Robot Series edition

This reprint was published May 10, 1999 by Daitosha. Minoru Nonaka added 3 more pages to Quent and revised others, some with computer-generated art. Volume 2 of this edition combined the Sunsa and Quent arcs into a single book.
